The Perfect Jean and Cardi Duo for a Chilly Day in Sunny San Francisco

Hello from Arizona!

We are currently on the trek home from California, making a quick stop to see the Grand Canyon then back to The Cities from there. I figured there's no better time than now to get some posts done for the blog, and some of my favorite outfits were worn on my vacation so I can't wait to share the details of them with you all!

We started the first leg of our trip in Northern California, stopping in South Lake Tahoe for a night then made our way to San Francisco for a night. I had never been to either of those places before and they were absolutely beautiful. But because this is a solely #OOTD related post, you can find photos, thoughts and more on Northern Cali on this post.

Spending the day in San Francisco was something I'll never forget. Although it was extremely windy (and I mean extremely) we still got to see so many cool and unique things and places within the city. Because of the wind, I opted for jeans and a cardigan to keep me warm, and wore a cropped tank top under the cardigan in case I got warm in the sun, restaurants, etc., and it was also something that was easy to slip on and off.

I loved this outfit for so many reasons. First off, the high-waist straight cut jeans are so unbelievably comfortable! They have four buttons to keep them secure on your waist (though it only looks like one), and they're the only pair of jeans I can wear sans belt.

The tank top I paired with the jeans is of a very light pink color, and I thought it paired well with the light wash denim. The cardigan I paired with the top and jeans is my favorite cardigan of all time. If you know me well, you know I am always wearing this. My grandma had actually bought it off of QVC for me to give as a Christmas gift two years ago. I love the tiered detailing it has because it adds an elevated appeal to the look with the heavy horizontal stitching that wraps around the entire center cut of the fabric. It also has a hood, and though I'm not usually a fan of hooded cardigans, the hood is meant to be on this one. When zipped, it has a very poncho-like appearance to it, as well as dip hem.

To accessorize, I wore a gold layered necklace. I'm not really one to wear a lot of jewelry, but the necklace added a nice touch to the entire outfit. To finish off the look, I wore my favorite pair of tan sandals/loafers from Target. I always wait until the end of the spring/summer season to purchase sandals from Target because they always go on sale and you can find some really good deals when you go about it this way. These sandals were only $8 when I bought them and they're so comfortable and cute! I love the lace up detail on them, and there is also really good ankle support with the zipper at the heal and the wraparound ankle aspect. Although they are no longer available, above I’ve linked where to shop a similar style.

Overall, this outfit left me very comfortable and stylish for my day in San Francisco. As always, I've linked where you can either shop the outfit or shop similar styles. Make sure to check out my related posts below for more vacation #OOTD's and don't forget to subscribe!

Xoxo,
